How do you encourage blog conversations? Respond to people who comment.

To make sure the commenter sees my reply, I’ve always posted my comment on the blog AND separately emailed the commenter. But that takes time!

What it does

This WordPress plugin provides a simple method to automatically email commenters whenever the blog’s administrator responds to their comments.

Note that this only works for administrators. It’s intended to supplement Subscribe to Comments, not replace it.

As of April 21, Owen is the main developer for Comment Email Responder. He took my meager code and vastly improved it.
