Don’t Be Left Out – Get LinkedIn!
Surely you’ve heard about LinkedIn. It’s an online networking tool for professionals. It also has jobs, services, and a Q&A section. Needless to say, it’s powerful.
I’ve written about LinkedIn before, especially how lawyers can use it. Today I saw an awesome post at Ernie the Attorney. He explains that he checks his LinkedIn home page every day, to see any updates in his network.
I decided to take Ernie’s advice and check my home page as well. There were several new updates in my network too! I sent off some connection invitations, saw what people were up to, and searched for new people to add. This should definitely be at least a weekly routine.
Are you LinkedIn?

I also read Ernie’s post today. Ernie and I are actually connected on LinkedIn. I have known about it for a sometime and worked pretty hard at building my initially but lately I have slacked off. Since IE 7 allows multiple home pages I might add it as one of them so I can check it more often. I use Firefox for most of my browsing but I have to open IE at least once a day for work applications that are dependant on it. Send me an invite at cmjohnston [at] gmail [dot] com if you want to add me to your network.

Thanks for commenting Christopher. I’m really excited about the prospects LinkedIn offers. We’ll see what happens in the future.
