A Day in Andrew’s Practice
Have you ever looked back at a day and wondered what you actually did? I’ve had a crazily busy day today, so I decided to figure out where my 13 hours of work went.
Here’s my day:
49 email conversations
44 phone calls
4 hours and 14 minutes on the phone
13 new potential clients
4 newly hired clients
1 in-person client meeting
Now it’s bed time.

Thanks for the great insight into law practice. Somehow boiling it down is a reality check.

I wonder how do you manage to do so much with only 24h in a day 🙂
4 hours 14 minutes / 44 phone calls = 7 minutes on average for a phone call, that’s really quick. My average is close to 10 minutes..
49 email conversations x 10 minutes per email (just to read and quick reply) = 8 hours 10 minutes
+ one meeting in person … that must be during lunch .. sounds like one crazy day .. 🙂

What? No legal research, briefing, or client activity other than emails or phone calls?

Crazy schedule – sounds like you might need to hire a paralegal! Hopefully you’ll have some time to work all the different cases

Andrew, what are you doing to get so many leads coming in to your business?? That’s absolutely amazing. If you’re hiring 4 new clients every day on average, that’s really good. I’m not too sure that 13 hour work days are too good for you to have every day though. I hope you get some rest some time!
