Best Free PDF Creation Software
If you don’t have the full version of Adobe Acrobat, you can still create PDF files from virtually anything on your computer. Just download a free PDF creator.
I’ve tried several of these in the past, but I just stumbled on one that takes the cake: doPDF.
doPDF is a newer contender in the PDF creation market, but it’s won my vote. The download is small, it installs in a snap, and it works every time. What else could a guy want?

Thanks – I’ll have to try this out. I use CutePDF Writer, which does the job, but falls way short Acrobat.

OpenOffice can convert all its files into PDF too. Have you tried any online options like http://www.freepdfconvert.com/ ?

I prefer PrimoPDF. You can get it here: http://www.primopdf.com/.
I love the fact that it supports print, screen, ebook, and pre-press formats. It is also fast, and never fails to do what it is supposed to do.

Of course, if you use Open Office, you’ve had that ability since well before version 1. And it’s free!. We just converted the entire office to Ooo 2.2.1.

Very useful! Thanks for the link. I have only used Adobe so far, but need more copies on other computer that do not require all the bells and whistles.
